Text Counter counts graphemes, words, lines, and paragraphs, estimates reading and speaking time, counts SMS segments, and applies case and line transforms. Drafts stay in this browser.
A local text workshop: grapheme and word stats, lines and paragraphs, reading and speaking time, SMS segments, tweet and SEO length hints, case and line transforms, drafts, and .txt/.md import or export.
A single emoji can be one grapheme and more than one UTF-16 code unit. The tool shows both so a character limit and a human count are not confused.
No. Counts, transforms, and autosave run in the browser. Import and export are files you choose on your device.
Graphemes are user-perceived characters (including many emoji and accented clusters). That can differ from UTF-16 string length, which is why the tool shows both styles of stats.
The tool uses GSM-7 vs Unicode segment rules so a message with emoji or non-Latin letters may use fewer characters per segment.
Yes. Many case and line actions can apply to the current selection or the whole document.
Reading and speaking time use WPM values you can change (reading 60–600, speaking 60–300). They are estimates, not measurements of your voice.
