Sunrise / Sunset calculates sunrise, sunset, twilight, golden hour, and blue hour for a searched place or your location, on any date from 1900 through 2100. It charts daylight, draws shadows from the sun’s altitude, plots the analemma, counts down a hunting offset you set, and shows Open-Meteo wind with a scent cone when that date is inside the forecast.
Look up sunrise, sunset, twilight, golden hour, and blue hour for a place and any date from 1900 through 2100. The page also charts daylight, draws a shadow bench, plots the analemma, counts down a hunting offset, and shows forecast wind with a scent cone.
A place and date show sunrise and sunset in that timezone, countdowns to the next sunrise and sunset, twilight and golden-hour windows, daylight compared with the solstices, a shadow length for a pole, the analemma, and wind when the date is inside the forecast.
They are calculated in your browser from the place’s latitude, longitude, and IANA timezone, using the NOAA solar equations. They are usually within a couple of minutes of an official almanac. They are not a feed from a weather service.
Yes. Use the date field, the month grid, or previous and next. Years run from 1900 through 2100. Times follow that place’s timezone, including daylight saving on that date.
Golden hour is from sunrise until the sun reaches 6° above the horizon, and from 6° back down to sunset. Blue hour is while the sun is between 4° and 6° below the horizon. Civil twilight is 6° below, nautical is 12°, and astronomical is 18°.
No. It subtracts the minutes you choose from sunrise and adds the minutes you choose to sunset. The default is 30 and 30. Real seasons depend on the place, the species, and the weapon.
Hourly speed, gusts, and direction come from Open-Meteo, the same source as the weather tool, and only for dates inside that forecast. Direction is where the wind comes from. The cone points the opposite way, which is where scent travels. It is a sketch, not a plume model.
